Stepping Forward – A program for first responders

Thanks to the Philadelphia FireFighters Local #22, children of our first responder community will be able to participate in a program called “Stepping Forward”. This unique Equine Facilitated Learning hands-on unmounted educational program designed to learn stress coping mechanisms in a fun and supportive learning environment.  Stepping Forward program participants will be engaging in various activities throughout the Pegasus grounds while using the horse as a bio-feedback mechanism specifically designed to help reduce stress levels that a first responder family might experience while enjoying the benefits of being around our Pegasus therapy horses. Registration forms are required for all program participants.  If you are a Local #22 member and would like to speak with a staff member about the benefits of Equine Facilitated Learning for your children or family, please contact Teresa@pegasusphilly.org for more information about this ground-breaking program.

]]> Sign up for Senior Saddles Fall 2016 https://www.pegasusridingacademy.com/sign-up-for-senior-saddles-fall-2016/ Mon, 29 Aug 2016 23:09:53 +0000 http://www.pegasusridingacademy.com/?p=2023 Are you 55+ and interested in riding at Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy?  Senior Saddles starts on October 4th. Our Senior Saddles program is for able-bodied men and women age 55 and over. The half-hour lessons focus on stretching, strengthening, and improving endurance, with multiple levels of instruction for the beginner and the intermediate rider. The cost for Fall session (12 weeks) is $504 ($42 per class), prepaid prior to the beginning of the session.
