Have you heard of the Kathi McKenna scholarship fund?
It is a wonderful initiative that gives many of our riders the chance to have amazing experiences here at Pegasus! On Saturday, March 29th, 2014, please join us at this year’s Carol Tatum Memorial Fundraiser, The Crazy Boots Ball, where we will be saluting Patricia and Christopher Vogler for all the hard work they put into making these scholarships a reality for Pegasus riders. The scholarship fund is named in honor of Kathi McKenna, late mother of one of our long-time riders, Lauren. Kathi established the fund for Pegasus scholarships by mobilizing the support of members of Division 61 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) in Northeast Philadelphia. Since her passing, Kathi’s family — daughter Patricia Vogler, son-in-law Christopher Vogler, and husband Pat McKenna — have continued her legacy, raising over $5,000 annually for Pegasus scholarships. We are extremely grateful to the McKenna family, as well as members of the AOH, for their ongoing support!
So come join us at Knowlton Mansion on March 29th to celebrate the Voglers as well as the many other people (and horses!) who contribute to the success of Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy. The evening promises to be full of great food, libations, dancing, and tantalizing auction and raffle items! For additional details, please visit the Crazy Boots Ball page. We hope to see you there!
