Ways to Help
Volunteer with Us
Volunteers are at the heart of our operation. It’s plain and simple: without volunteers, our programs would not exist. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and range from age 14 to age 85. What almost all have in common is that they find they receive as much as they give. Working with the riders and the horses is a labor of love that provides an exciting and fulfilling challenge.
If you’ve never worked around horses before, that’s no problem! We’ll teach you everything you need to know. We also offer a Work-to-Ride program for volunteers with riding experience.
To find out more about volunteering, please visit our Volunteer with Us page.
Charitable donations are tremendously important to our ability to serve disabled riders and their families. We keep our lesson fees affordable, subsidizing each rider and offering financial aid to families and individuals who demonstrate the need for assistance. As we strive to meet the growing demand for therapeutic riding services and expand our outreach into the community, we depend on charitable gifts of all sizes.
We welcome donations toward general operating costs (helping us keep the lights on and the horses fed!), as well as donations designated for specific purposes, such as rider scholarships, horse sponsorship, or barn equipment.

When you volunteer at Pegasus, what you get back is so much more than what you give. Pegasus is a place for dreams to live, a place to belong, and a place to soar.

We are deeply grateful for the generous donations that allow us to continue making a difference in the lives of our riders, their families, and our volunteers.
The moments of triumph, community, and joy shown in this video capture the reasons why we love the work that we do and why your support means so much to us.
Thanks to all who help make this possible.
